Skyline looking for new boys basketball coach

Skyline High School is looking for a new boys basketball coach.

J. Jay Davis spent the past five seasons coaching the Spartans, but athletic director Ryan Gilbert confirmed Tuesday that the school is, “going in a different direction.”

While Gilbert couldn’t add any details, he said the job closes to applicants Friday. He expects to have a new coach hired over the next few weeks.

Davis led Skyline to an eighth-place finish in the 2010 Class 4A state tournament.
