Some other high-school volleyball highlights from Tuesday

While the Jackson-Bellarmine Prep battle was the volleyball headliner Tuesday, there were some other matches of note involving ranked teams.

I’ll follow with highlights from the ones reported, but here’s a quick recap:

Mount Si (No. 1 in 3A) beat Interlake, 3-0

Mercer Island (No. 3 in 3A), beat Sammamish, 3-0

Puyallup (No. 5 in 4A) beat Auburn, 3-0

Newport (No. 6 in 4A) beat Glacier Peak, 3-2

Kentwood (No. 8 in 4A) beat Bethel, 3-1

Curtis (No. 9 in 4A) beat Kentridge, 3-1

Unranked Gig Harbor beat Olympia (No. 7 in 4A), 3-1

Unranked Skyline beat Snohomish (No. 10 in 4A), 3-0

Capital (No. 6 in 2A) beat Timberline (No. 10 in 3A), 3-1

Fife (No. 10 in 2A) beat Steilacoom, 3-0

OK, so now for those highlights (and, sorry, but I’ve got to keep them a little shorter than usual as there were a lot of matches and the morning is slipping away):

Mount Si 3, Interlake 0

Lindsay Carr crushed 12 kills and had 6 aces to lead the way. Lauren Smith did a little of everything with 22 assists, 5 aces, 4 kills and 4 digs, while Gen Knoppi added 16 digs. For Interlake, Kendall Davis recorded 11 digs.

Mercer Island 3, Sammamish 0

Sara Lindquist (13 kills), Kelly Logie (16 assists and Carly Wilson (13 assists, 8 aces) led the way.

Puyallup 3, Auburn 0

Makenzie March handed out 22 assists with Maddie Davis putting down 10 kills.

Newport 3, Glacier Peak 2

Anna Crabtree was everywhere with 23 kills and 25 digs and Casey Schoenlein was key, too, with 17 kills and 4 blocks. For GP, which let a 2-0 lead slip away, the standouts were Ruby Mensing (13 kills, 25 digs, 4 aces), Maddi Ober (13 kills, 6 blocks), Caitlyn Johnson (9 kills, 18 digs), Reanna Jarchow (32 assists) and Maria Darling (22 digs).

Kentwood 3, Bethel 1

Lauren Hackett whacked 15 kills and the assists were shared by Anatasia Hicker (27) and Piper Crabtree (23).

Curtis 3, Kentridge 1

Sophie VanEssen and Janell Spark led a balanced Curtis offense with 11 and 10 kills, respecitively. Kaysee Shaffer had 38 assists and Taylor Buell added 19 digs. For Kentridge, Carly Manning logged 13 assists and Ariel Wolfe had 17 digs.

Skyline 3, Snohomish 0

Halle Erdahl (13 kills, 4 blocks) and Crystal Anderson (13 kills, 12 digs) did the bulk of the damage for the Spartans, who got 29 assists from Katy Valencia. No Snohomish highlights reported.

Fife 3, Steilacoom 0

No details reported.

Lake Stevens 3, Roosevelt 1

Unfortunately, no highlights reported for Lake Stevens — a team I’ve got my eye on. Roosevelt was led by Kristen Lane (23 kills, 13 digs), Frances Woods (10 kills), Sierra Schomburg (45 assists), Audrey Choy (15 digs) and Clarie Munro (12 digs, 3 aces).

Emerald Ridge 3, Tahoma 0

ER was paced by Jenna Mullen (8 kills, 3 blocks), Kateri Blodgette-Baker (8 kills, 10 digs), Isabella Zubrod (14 assists) and Megan Horton (12 assists).

Kent-Meridian 3, Rogers 2

Great cross-division battle between two teams with post-season aspriations as host K-M prevailed 15-12 in the fifth. Chloe Watson drilled 17 kills, Anna Laban handed out 37 assists and Faith Faamausilli added 6 blocks. For Rogers, Brylie Barnette put together 15 kills and 18 digs, Karlee Troeh had 13 kills and Kelsen Meyers finished with 40 assists.

Auburn Riverside 3, Federal Way 0

Brenna Bruil hit 11 kills and got backing from Carson Heilborn (6 kills, 14 assists), Lexi White (13 assists), Sydney LaValley (10 digs) and Precious Atafua (5 aces).

Graham-Kapowsin 3, Mount Rainier 0

No G-K details reported. Jenna Nye had 13 digs for the Rams.

Shorewood 3, Garfield 1

Monica Poster lumped 12 kills with 20 digs, Marianne Kellogg piled up 35 assists and Delaney Hopen was solid all-around with 8 kills, 13 digs and 6 aces. Garfield got 11 kills and 14 digs from Sophia Black, while Olivia deVesci chipped in 24 assists and 11 digs.

Edmonds-Woodway 3, Inglemoor 0

Standouts for the Warriors included Sid Eck (16 kills, 4 blocks), Maddy Rettenmier (13 kills, 2 aces), Maddie Houvener (33 assists), Rebecca Sharp (18 digs) and Julia Hutchinson (14 digs).

Monroe 3, Bothell 2

Only Monroe highlights reported with Melina Seabrook (20 kills, 18 digs) and D.D. Laitmore (32 assists) leading the way.

Bellevue 3, Lake Washington 1

The Wolverines were paced by Jessie Marvin (11 kills), Elise Berberoglu (9 kills, 14 digs), Julie Pettere (18 digs) and Natalee Phee (11 digs, 3 aces). For LW, Maddy Lind had 10 kills, Dana Hassert put together 7 kills and 6 blocks, Maddy Shepard contributed 9 kills and Maddy Stone finished with 20 assists.

Liberty 3, Juanita 0

The Patriots got 8 kills apiece from Shea O’Brien (plus 4 aces), Kenna Hanses and Jessica Pickering, with Malia Parilla logging 28 assists and Krista Merca digging up 18 balls.

Kennedy Catholic 3, Lindbergh 0

The Lancers were led by Apryl Eneliko (8 kills, 6 aces, 5 digs), Shayne McPherson (8 kills, 7 assists), Amanda Shioyama (13 assists) and Riley Fawcett (4 kills, 5 digs, 3 aces).

Evergreen 3, Renton 0

Tori Mulitauaopele came up with 7 kills and 3 aces to help key the victory and Cecilia Vu notched 18 assists.

Hazen 3, Highline 1

Marcela Macias was all of the floor (literally) with 42 digs, and added 5 kills. Lena Chindamany had 16 assists, Kelsey Allen added 9 kills and Shelby Sturman served up 6 aces.

Foster 3, Tyee 0

The Bulldogs got 16 kills from Aba Monkah, 16 assists from Naomy Hernandez and 7 aces from Yen Le.

Meadowdale 3, Everett 1

Carly Reece was good for 15 kills and 17 digs, Tara Fishback amassed 44 assists and Amy Rickel had 28 digs for the Mavs. Everett was paced by Amber Hagar (6 kills, 11 blocks) and Megan Canonica (5 kills, 13 digs).

Mount Vernon 3, Shorecrest 2

No Mount Vernon details reported. Shorecrest, which lost 15-13 in the fifth, got notable efforts from Diana Conwell (15 kills, 34 digs), Aiko Canfiled (11 kills, 27 digs) and Lauren Rutter (31 assists).

Washington 3, White River 0

The Patriots’ two standouts were Tasi Peredo (12 kills, 4 aces, 7 digs) and Brianna Glass (16 assists, 2 blocks).

Franklin Pierce 3, Orting 2

No FP details reported. Elysia Keith had 14 assists for Orting.

University Prep 3, Overlake 2

Malia Milici led the way with 18 assists, 10 digs, 4 kills and 3 aces and got assistance from Kathryn Gouker (4 kills, 4 blocks, 5 digs), Danait Yemane (19 digs, 3 aces) and Jerusalem Hadush (24 digs). Overlake’s top performers included Andreea Gavrilescu (18 kills, 13 digs, 2 aces), Clara Voss (11 kills, 35 assists) and Carly Silvernale (21 digs, 3 aces).
