Some high-school volleyball highlights from Wednesday

Well, surging Bainbridge was at it again Wednesday night, so we’ll start the volleyball highlights there:

Bainbridge 3, Eastside Catholic 1

Two days after taking down top-ranked Holy Names, the Spartans added No. 7 Eastside Catholic to their list. Maggie Haskin handed out 29 assists and added 12 digs and four blocks. Lauren Sheehan had a team-high eight kills to go along with 12 digs and 3 aces. Kat Towslee led Eastside Catholic with 22 kills, while Sarah Hill added 10 and Hannah Christie contributed 37 assists, 21 digs and 5 kills. Look for Bainbridge in next week’s 3A state rankings.

Lakeside 3, Holy Names 1

The Lions added to the Cougars’ grief thanks largely to the 19 kills by Jennie Glerum. Devin Callahan finished with 26 assists. For Holy Names, the top performers were Erica Ciez (11 kills), Courtney Pharr (10 kills), Kaki Hall (10 kills) and Maddie Koh (32 assists, 10 digs).

Seattle Prep 3, Bishop Blanchet 1

Katie Bubar amassed 45 assists for the No. 6 Panthers, who also got key efforts from Phylly Knight (17 kills), Maddi Burnett (14 kills, 15 digs), Maddie Holman (14 kills, 15 digs) and Devon Schoos (23 digs). For Blanchet, the standouts were Rachel Hunter (11 kills, 15 digs), Natalie Robertson (10 kills), Sophie Beckley (39 digs), Allyson Ahern (19 assists), Rachel Ahern (19 assists) and Hannah Williams (23 digs).

Chief Sealth 3, Cleveland 0

Five Sealth players had 5 kills or more, led by Livvy Boyd (7 kills, 10 digs) and Katherine Kirk (7 kills, 4 blocks). Nicole Carter chipped in 13 assists and 5 aces, while Madeline Twombley had 5 kills, 11 assists and 3 aces.

West Seattle 3, Ingraham 1

Eastyn Baleto banged 13 kills, Ellen Cleveland contributed 12 kills, 10 digs and 3 aces and Maddie Collins piled up 33 assists.

Nathan Hale 3, Rainier Beach 0

The Raiders were led by Zoe Donat (8 kills) and Anna Tale (7 kills, 11 digs).

Newport 3, Redmond 0

The Knights, ranked No. 5 in 4A, used a balanced attack led by Kristina Mills (17 kills), Anna Crabtree (13 kills) and Casey Schoenlein (12 kills, 3 blocks). Aly Hands had 12 assists. For Redmond, Audrey Hyem put together 7 kills and 9 digs.

Skyline 3, Roosevelt 0

Halle Erdahl smacked 14 kills and the assists were split between Katy Valencia (15) and Meghan Wedeking (14). Roosevelt’s Frances Woods had a match-high 12 kills and Sierra Schomburg handed out 30 assists.

Issaquah 3, Ballard 1

Leanne Scott enjoyed a big night at the net with 21 kills and added 15 digs, while Laruen Alberg contributed 12 kills and 5 aces. Rachel Baker finished with 30 assists and Lindsey Ferguson had 21 digs and 4 aces. Ballard’s top performers were Liza Berg (9 kills, 10 digs), Grace Taylor (9 kills) and McKinley Kellogg (32 assists, 10 digs).

Garfield 3, Inglemoor 2

The Bulldogs, who won 17-15 in the fifth, spread the offense around and were sparked by Emily Kwatinetz (14 kills, 14 digs, 4 aces), Aiden Maloney-Bertelli (14 kills), Renita Gray (12 kills), Sophia Black (10 kills, 32 digs, 5 aces), Olivia deVesci (49 assists, 22 digs) and Bekah Louie (36 digs).

Lynnwood 3, Cascade 1

Kaitlin Evers bashed 13 kills to lead the Royals and got help from Sierra Olsen (10 kills, 10 digs) and Grace Douglas (38 assists).

Bonney Lake 3, Peninsula 1

Taylor Moss and Kylie Acuna both had 13 kills and 9 digs and Acuna added 7 blocks. Ashtyn Bagby finished with 37 assists and 5 kills.

Life Christian 3, Cascade Christian 2

Three Life Christian players finished with double-digit kills — Johnnise Moore (14, plus 6 blocks and 8 aces), Ashlee Hamilton (12, plus 6 blocks) and Grace Bouffiou (10, plus 22 assists). Jessi Walters had 7 blocks for Cascade Christian.

Charles Wright 3, Vashon Island 2

Chimacum 3, Seattle Christian 2

Lauren Thacker led the way with 14 kills, 4 blocks and 12 digs. Megan Dukek contributed 16 assists, 16 digs and 6 aces.

Seattle Lutheran 3, Auburn Adventist 1

Olivia Wake whacked 11 kills.

Forest Ridge 3, Bush 0
