Bishop Blanchet is holding a memorial service on Thursday for former Blanchet goalkeeper Austen Everett, who passed away in August after battling non-Hodgkins lymphoma since 2008.
Everett graduated from Blanchet in 2005 and then played for the University of California Santa Barbara and the University of Miami. The memorial service will take place at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday before Blanchet’s 4 p.m. game against Bainbridge.

Austen was a four-year varsity keeper at Bishop Blanchet before graduating to play for UCSB and the University of Miami. She had been battling non-Hodgkins lymphoma since 2008. During her fight with cancer she began the Austen Everett Foundation, which connects college and professional athletes with children fighting cancer or life-threatening illnesses. She passed away August 14th, 2012.
There will be a memorial service at 3:45pm on October 4th at Bishop Blanchet’s Naish Field before the 4:00 p.m. game against Bainbridge.
