Projected matchups for the first round of the 3A and 4A playoffs

Disclaimer: I have tried my best to go through and make sure that the playoff teams and seeding are accurate, but sifting through the playoff picture with a week’s worth of games yet to be played can be tricky. Please let me know if there are mistakes or if something doesn’t look right, but also remember this is for fun and to give you an idea of potential matchups and where things stand. It’s not definitive.

In order to put this together, I had to go through and pick winners from this week’s games for seeding purposes. That’s why things could — and likely will — change from now until the playoffs start. But this also should give you an idea of what to expect.

For instance, if you’re a Meadowdale fan, your team could finish with the fourth or fifth seed out WesCo 3A. If the Mavericks are the fourth seed, they could play Eastside Catholic or Nathan Hale (those teams will decide the Metro No. 1 seed on Friday). If they are the fifth seed, the Mavericks could play Peninsula or Lakes (those teams will decide the SPSL 3A No. 1 seed this week).

So you can see that there is a lot of room for change, but you can also get a pretty good idea of what to expect as we inch closer to the playoffs.

And with that, here are the projections for the round of 32 for 4A and 3A.

Correction: Ferndale should be WesCo’s No. 3 seed while Glacier Peak should get the second seed.
