The Rainier Beach boys’ basketball team jumped from seventh to fifth in Max Preps’ latest top 25.
The Vikings are 2-0 this season, having crushed Ingraham and West Seattle to open the year. Beach coach Mike Bethea said this might be his best team ever, and the Vikings can go 12 players deep.
In their first game, Shaqquan Aaron had 19 points and 12 assists while Fuquan Niles had eight blocked shots. In their second game, Naim Ladd scored 23 while Marquis Davis had 24.
The Vikings played Chief Sealth (4-0) on Tuesday.
