Seattle Prep has hired Garrett Cook, the Panthers’ interim coach last season, as the school’s football coach. Prep went 5-5 and lost in the round-of-32 last season in Cook’s first year as the interim coach. He had previously served as an assistant coach for five seasons at the school.

Coach Cook has spent six seasons with Seattle Prep, starting as a Defensive Line Coach, Defensive Coordinator, Associate Head Coach and finally serving as Interim Head Coach. Of his six years on staff, Prep has advanced to the state playoffs five times and has produced a number of college players including a Semper Fi Game All American, a Team USA All American, a Division III All American, East- West All State Game representatives, multiple All State Team members and numerous All League and Scholastic All State selections.
Before coming to Prep, Coach Cook was a coach at Kennedy Catholic, Ingraham High School and served as junior coach for the Lake City Braves. Additionally, he played for Don Anderson at Gonzaga Prep.
Garrett, who has worked for 14 years as a member of the Seattle Mariners front office, and his wife Kristin live in Seattle with their five year old daughter Makenna.
