The sixth-ranked Eagles (21-4) survived for their first trip to the state semifinals since the 1982 state-title team, thanks to  big three-pointer from Lindsay Brown with 1:56 to play for a 41-37 lead. Brown’s three allowed them to survive a last-second shot to tie by the Bullpups (22-4).

The 6-foot-1 Brown finished with 13 points and nine rebounds.

Gonzaga Prep sophomore Laura Stockton’s misfired short and right on a game-tying three-pointer just before the final buzzer. Stockton finished with 12 points, but the Bullpups couldn’t overcome an 11-point second-half deficit or 25-percent shooting from the field (14 of 54).

Hannah Caudill sank a three-pointer with 59.2 seconds left to give Gonzaga Prep hope and cut the lead to 43-40. Oona Harrington gathered a rebound and found Caudill for the three-pointer.
