Boys state basketball: No. 2 Jackson 68, No. 10 Arlington 41

TACOMA -What’s that saying, that it’s hard to beat a team three times? Well, Jackson did just that on Friday by beating Arlington for the third time. This one, though, meant far more than the others. As a result, No. 2 Jackson will play No. 6 Curtis in the state title game at 9 p.m. on Saturday.

Jackson didn’t waste anytime in putting away Arlington. The Timberwolves outscored Arlington 25-9 in the second quarter and led 44-21 at halftime.

From there, it was smooth sailing. Jason Todd led Jackson with 20 points and nine rebounds while Dan Kingma added 19 points and hit five three-pointers.

Terry Dawn led Arlington with 17 points while Kaleb Bryson added 15, but the Eagles made just 6 of 24 three-pointers. Arlington will play No. 1 Garfield for third-place on Saturday.
