Auburn Riverside hires Bryant Thomas as football coach
Bryant Thomas, who helped Federal Way rise to a state contender the past few seasons, has been named new head football coach at Auburn Riverside.
Here is the press release:
The Auburn Riverside High School athletic department is pleased to announce the selection of Bryant Thomas as Head Football Coach. Coach Thomas will replace Bob Morgan who resigned in January after six seasons leading the Ravens.
The past six years Coach Thomas coached at Federal Way High School. During his first five years at Federal Way, he was the offensive coordinator for the Eagles. This year, in anticipation of becoming a head coach, he moved to the defensive side of the ball as the defensive coordinator. Prior to coaching at Federal Way, Coach Thomas spent six years coaching for Idaho State University. He has also worked for the Seattle Seahawks and Washington State University.
Coach Thomas said, “I am excited about the opportunity of becoming the head football coach at Auburn Riverside High School and look forward to continue building a program that the school and community will be proud of.”
“Bryant Thomas is a quality individual who has had success wherever he has been. We are very excited to have him as part of the staff at Auburn Riverside.” ARHS Athletic Director Doug Aubert said.
Coach Thomas will also join the teaching staff at Auburn Riverside High School.
