Edmonds-Woodway promotes Rebekah Wells to head girls basketball coach

Rebekah Wells has been promoted to head girls basketball coach at Edmonds-Woodway High School after serving as an assistant for five seasons.

Wells is a 2004 graduate of Edmonds-Woodway, where she was a three-sport athlete (soccer, basketball, track and field). She went on to play basketball at Willamette University.

Angie McGuire, Edmonds-Woodway High School athletic director, sent the following statement about Wells:

“We are all very impressed with what Rebekah has to offer the Edmonds-Woodway girls’ basketball program.  We believe Rebekah has the knowledge and motivation to continue the strong basketball tradition at EW, and in addition, we feel she has the ability to positively impact her athletes in their character, leadership and academic development.”

Wells takes over for Duane Hodges, who resigned in February after four seasons.
