Stranack takes over for Hostetter as Auburn Mountainview gymnastics coach

Jayme Hostetter, who led Auburn Mountainview to the Class 3A state gymnastics championship in 2010, has resigned as head coach.

The Lions placed second at state in 2009.

Andrew Stranack has been promoted from his role as assistant coach to take over the program.

“We are pleased to keep the continuity in our gymnastics program, which has been one of the state’s best programs since our school opened in 2005,” athletic director Chris Carr said in a press release.  “Andrew has been at AMHS for two years as an assistant and has also coached at Roach Gymnastics (now Auburn Gymnastics Center) for six years.  We are excited to have Andrew’s experience and knowledge as well as his rapport with the athletes.”
