WIBCA/WIAA state basketball showcase set for this weekend

It’s a last-chance look for some of Washington’s senior basketball players still hoping to sign with a college.

And an early chance for next year’s seniors to show off their skills.

So, the 11th annual WIBCA/WIAA state basketball showcase this weekend at Bellevue College makes for a great chance to see some quality high-school basketball.

The event features 160 players on 16 teams and runs Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Daily tickets are $5.

Local players expected to participate include DeMario Hall (Garfield), Jalen McGruder (Garfield), Nick Nordale (Mercer Island) and Evan Scholten (Cedar Park Christian). From the Tacoma area, you’ll be able to see Dom Jordan (Curtis), Latravion Satterwhite (Lincoln) and Cedric Williams (Lakes).
