ECKC live thread – King’s vs. Lynden

This will serve as your live game thread from the Emerald City Kickoff Classic at Husky Stadium. Next up – King’s vs. Lynden

Corey Kispert of King’s completed a 10-yard touchdown pass to Jordan Turner. The two-point conversion wasn’t successful.

King’s quarterback Corey Kispert completed a 46-yard pass to Ryan Fransen.

Koa Wilkins completes a 17-yard pass to Ryan Fransen.

Rudy Mendoz’s reception fumbled. Recovered by Nick Severson, and King’s takes over.

Lucas Petersen’s pass picked off by Karl Sather. King’s takes over at own 35.

Lucas Petersen keeps the ball and rushes 19 yards to get to Lynden’s own 40.

Koa Wilkins sacked by Blake Browning and Dimitriy Telega for a loss of 6.

Lucas Swanson makes an 11-yard reception from Koa Wilkins for the King’s and a first down.

End of third quarter – Lynden 14, King’s 0

Lynden’s Alex Otano-Guenther attempts a 35-yard field goal and barely misses, the ball hitting the left upright.

Lucas Petersen completes an 18-yard pass to Cameron Wainwright.

Fairly even second half so far. With 6 minutes left in the third quarter, score remains the same.

Halftime – Lynden 14, King’s 0

Lynden’s Cameron Wainwright completes a 35-yard pass to Scooter Hasting to end the the half.

24-yard pass completion from Koa Wilkins to Nick Severson. The following play is a loss of 7 as Wilkins is sacked.

TD – Lynden 14, King’s 0

Trent Postma drives into the endzone from 1 1/2 yards out. PAT taken by Alex Otano-Guenther is good.

Lucas Petersen completes a 31-yard pass to Scooter Hasting, putting Lynden 1st and 3 on the 3-yard line. A penalty gets them even closer.

King’s quarterback Koa Wilkins sacked for a loss of 9.

Lynden’s 32-yard field goal attempt by Alex Otano-Guenther no good. King’s will take over on their own 20.

Lynden’s Scooter Hasting makes a nice catch for an 18-yard reception from Petersen. Petersen making some big throws so far this game.

Jalani Phelps of Lynden picks up a 13-yard pass completion from Lucas Petersen.

After a 41-yard punt by Laka Wilkins and a couple penalties, Lynden takes over at their own 19.

End of first quarter – Lynden 7, King’s 0

King’s receiver Jordan Turner catches the ball for a 24-yard gain from Koa Wilkins. He’s hit hard and fumbles, but Nicholas Marinkovich recovers.

Lynden kicks off for another touchback.

13-yard touchdown pass completion  to Jalani Phelps from Lucas Peterson. PAT taken by Alex Otano-Guenther is good.

Lynden’s Jaremy Martin goes 17 yards on the pass completion from Lucas Peterson.

King’s can’t get the first down on 4th and 1. Lynden takes over on their own 19.

Chris Yand getting a couple good runs in. King’s gets the first down.

Lynden kicks off and it’s a touchback. King’s will start on their own 20-yard line.
