Friday night highlights
Another Friday night down. Here are just a few highlights from the games on Friday:
From the game of the week
In Issaquah’s 48-28 win over Newport:
-Issaquah’s Jack Gellatly ran for 133 yards and two touchdowns on 32 carries. He also received five passes for 50 yards and another touchdown.
-Issaquah’s Jack Neary was 18-26 for 304 yards and four passing touchdowns. He also rushed for 24 yards on five carries.
-Newport’s Conner Baumann rushed for 172 yards on 10 carries and a touchdown. He also was involved in a flea-flicker at the end of the game. Baumann took the pitch from Jordan Sanberg, and then completed a 48-yard touchdown pass to Drew Sample.
From the bullpen
In Sumner’s 35-6 win over Clover Park:
-Sumner’s DeJon Lync had 10 carries for 139 yards and two touchdowns.
-Sumner’s Brandon Tuilaepa had 15 carries for 143 yards and two touchdowns.
In Graham-Kapowsin’s 49-13 win over Emerald Ridge:
-GK’s Teague James had 21 carries for 229 yards and four touchdowns.
In Lindbergh’s 13-7 win over Hazen:
-Lindbergh’s Devon Jackson completed a 37-yard pass to Jashaun Black on third-and-long prior to the winning score. With 2.2 seconds left, Jackson ran in the game-winning touchdown from six yards out on fourth down.

Late highlights from the bullpen:
In Meadowdale’s 42-7 win over Shorecrest:
-Meadowdale’s Malik Braxton had 10 carries for 127 yards and one touchdown. He also recorded two receptions for 80 yards and a touchdown.
In Steilacoom’s 22-20 loss to Franklin Pierce:
-Steilacoom’s Brian Thomas had 15 carries for 177 yards and a touchdown.
In Spanaway Lake’s 40-23 loss to Rogers:
-Spanaway Lake’s Joe Martin went 12-28 for 134 yards passing and two touchdowns. He also rushed on 13 carries for 97 yards.
-Rogers’s Grayson Madland went 14-23 for 241 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed on 12 carries for 106 yards and two touchdowns.
In Mount Si’s 34-0 win over Interlake:
-Mount Si’s Nick Mitchell went 13-14 for 215 and two touchdowns. He also rushed for another touchdown. Mitchell is OSU-bound, and continues to impress.
In King’s 35-14 win over South Whidbey:
-Chris Yand had 16 carries for 147 yards and two touchdowns.
-Koa Wilkins went 10-16 for 144 yards and two touchdowns.
-Ryan Fransen had six receptions for 96 yards and two touchdowns.
And a quick note from last Thursday:
-In Franklin’s first win of the year (21-7 over Ingraham), Franklin’s James Flowers III had 18 carries for 123 yards.
