A couple links to start your Monday off right in the world of high school sports…

Bellevue dropped one spot from No. 9 to No. 10 in the CBS MaxPreps Xcellent 25 rankings after allowing the most points against them this season in a 38-14 win over conference-rival Juanita last Friday.

A little late, but the WIAA announced their Week 4 winners of Athlete of the Week.

The winners include Austin Otis of Lake Stevens for football, Gabriela Pelogi of Federal Way for soccer, Joe Hardy of Seattle Prep for cross country, Sarah Sherrod of Hazen for volleyball, Brian Thomas of Steilacoom for football, Machaela Graddy of Eatonville for soccer, Casey Slattery of Tacoma Baptist for soccer and Kelley McClung of La Conner for volleyball. More athletes and the reason they won the award are listed online.
