Washington state Governor Jay Inslee will have his high school basketball number retired Friday, Oct. 11.
Governor Inslee is a 1969 graduate of Ingraham High School. His number (No. 35) will be retired at the Third Annual Ram Pride Champion Breakfast, sponsored by the Ingraham High School Athletic Booster Club.
The reception takes place at 7 a.m., and the breakfast will run from 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. in the Ingraham gym.
The special guest speaker will be Roger Levesque, retired Sounders player. Levesque came to Seattle in 2003 on a loan from San Jose, and spent nine seasons playing for the Sounders.
The celebrity M.C. will be Greg Lewis, Ingraham and Washington alum and former NFL player. Lewis graduated from Ingraham in 1987 and was an all-state running back. He then went to UW and was not only the Pac-10 player of the year, but also team captain of the 1991 Rose Bowl championship team. Lewis played three seasons for the Denver Broncos before an injury ended his career.
