Volleyball playoff info — find all kinds of links here

So, you’re itching to get out and see some great tournament volleyball, and want to know when and where the action is.

I’m here to help.

You’ll find the biggest assortment of brackets on the WPA website here. Just navigate around to the district you are interested in. Some brackets from league tournaments are included — notably the Metro League tourney. That one started Tuesday, with Bainbridge and Bishop Blanchet both advancing with 3-0 victories. So print the bracket and pencil those teams into the next round.

The KingCo 4A bracket is there, too — that’s like a district tourney in itself. The top two finishers there advance directly to state, which is Nov. 15-16 at Saint Martin’s University in Lacey. The No. 3 team plays the No. 3 finisher out of the WesCo 4A (District 1) tournament for a final berth. The top two WesCo 4A teams also advance.

The KingCo 3A tournament bracket is not on the WPA website, but is on the KingCo site (as is the 4A bracket), and you can find those here. Hmmm, upon closer review, I see the 3A bracket does not include an update with the qualifiers, so you’ll have to fill them in. Today’s first match pairs Juanita (No. 6) v Interlake (No. 3) and the winner of that one advances to play Mount Si (No. 2) on Thursday. The second match today pits Liberty (No. 6) against Bellevue (N0. 4), with top-seeded Mercer Island taking on the winner Thursday. Today’s matches are loser-out. The top four advance to the ultra-tough SeaKing District tourney.

I see the West Central 2A bi-district bracket isn’t updated yet either (that includes five teams from the SPSL and three from Seamount). From the Seamount, Evergreen is No. 1 followed by Lindbergh and Foster. I believe Fife and Washington wound up sharing the SPSL 2A title, but from I can tell Fife beat Washington twice and therefore would get the No. 1 seed, followed by Washington, Sumner, White River and Franklin Pierce.

The SPSL 4A tournament is Saturday at Beamer. No bracket posted on that, but it’s mostly for seeding with the top five teams from the North and South crossing over. Nine of the 10 teams advance to what should be a really great West Central bi-district event.

I hope this helps. And here is that SPSL 4A tourney schedule at Beamer:

Game #1 (11:00AM)                Spanaway Lake vs. Kentlake         (loser out, winner #9)

Game #2 (1:00PM)                Rogers vs. Tahoma (loser #6, winner #5)

Game #3 (3:00PM)                Emerald Ridge vs. Kentwood  (loser #2, winner #1)

Game #4 (5:00PM)                Auburn Riverside         vs. Curtis (loser #4, winner #3)

Game #5 (7:00PM)                Kentridge vs. Bethel (loser #8, winner #7)
