Former Bellevue star named Pac-12 Offensive, Defensive Freshman of the Year

Former Bellevue standout Myles Jack has been named the Pac-12 Offensive and Defensive Freshman of the Year. It is the first time since the awards were introduced in 2008 that a player has won both.

Jack started the season as a linebacker for UCLA, but saw time at running back late in the season, breaking onto the scene offensively with 120 yards on just six carries on Nov. 9 at Arizona. Jack ran for 267 yards on 37 attempts with seven touchdowns in four games. He had 70 tackles, five for a loss and an interception in 11 defensive starts.

As Jayson Jenks wrote in January, Jack was not always a top prospect.
