Rainier Beach beat No. 18 Whitney Young 89-82 on Sunday night and will play No. 17 Bishop Gorman in the Les Schwab Invitational title game Monday at 8:30 p.m. David Crisp had 33 points and Shaqquan Aaron had 20 points, five assists and four rebounds.
Those at the game called it an instant classic on Twitter. Coach Mike Bethea said earlier in the day that No. 12 Rainier Beach believes it is the premier team in the Northwest. Tonight’s game proves that it is one of the premier teams in the country. A win tomorrow would vault Rainier Beach into the top of the rankings.
Rainier Beach/Whitney Young is about as high-level high school basketball game you will see. Didn't want it to end. #SALUTE
