Rainier Beach No. 6 in MaxPreps poll

Rainier Beach climbs to No. 6 in the latest MaxPreps poll. The Vikings are coming off a tournament win in Portland, Ore., at the Les Schwab Invitational, one that allowed them to move 14 spots from No. 20.

Here’s what MaxPreps writes about Rainier Beach.

“Beach rockets up the rankings after a dominant showing at the Les Schwab Invitational in Oregon. The Vikings put up 91.7 points per game in four wins at the event, including a 95-67 win over Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) in the final. The two-time defending Washington 3A champs also knocked off then-No. 21 Whitney Young (Chicago) 89-82 in the semis.”

But should the Vikings be ranked higher after their performance this past weekend? Look for Rainier Beach to be higher in the FAB 50 poll next week.
