Franklin’s Keith Smith out for season

Franklin’s leading scorer Keith Smith is out for the remainder of the season with a partially torn meniscus in his right knee.

He suffered the injury during Tuesday’s 59-54 loss at Seattle Prep, but finished the game. Smith said he will probably be out for a few months but expects to be back for the AAU season.

The sophomore averaged 21.0 points per game and topping 30 three times. Smith scored a season-high 37 points against Cleveland on Jan. 31.

Franklin has clinched the Valley Division and will play for the for the league title in the Metro tournament.
