I meant to get this post up a couple days ago, but obviously that didn’t happen, so I thought I might as well put it up now. Anyway, let’s take a look at the national rankings, where Rainier Beach stayed put.
No movement for the Vikings in the MaxPreps, FAB 50 or USA Today rankings. The highest ranking continues to be from MaxPreps, which places Rainier Beach No. 2. Here’s what it has to say about the Vikings.
“Louisville signee Shaqquan Aaron led the way with 20 points as the Vikings embarrassed South Seattle rival Franklin (Seattle) 92-40 on Friday night. Rainier Beach jumps into Metro League tournament play this week.”
FAB 50 keeps its top eight teams in order, which means Rainier Beach stays at No. 3. The Vikings are one spot ahead of Mater Dei, which is atop the MaxPreps rankings. Curie (Ill.) and Montverde Acadmey (Fla.) occupy the top two spots. Curie and Whitney Young (Ill.) could be headed for a playoff matchup, which could be an opportunity for the Vikings to move up.
Rainier Beach also remains at No. 4 in the USA Today rankings. It is the lowest the Vikings are in the three major rankings.
