Kelly Richardson is the new head volleyball coach at Archbishop Murphy.
Here is the press release from the school:
June 4, 2014- Archbishop Murphy High School has hired Kelly Richardson as head volleyball coach. Kelly currently works at South West Baptist University in Missouri as head volleyball coach, where she has been since 2007. This last season her team made school history, tying for their best record ever, and finished 3rd nationally in blocks per set.
Kelly’s experience goes back farther than her coaching days. In college, Kelly played competitively for Evangel University. There she was first-team all-conference three times, second-team all-region twice, a member of ten all-tournament teams, a third-team All-American, and to this day still holds five school records.
“Kelly will be an incredible asset to our school. She is energetic, motivated, and is a student of the game. The team will benefit from her family-oriented values and open communication. It is clear she carries her faith along with a set of high expectations and excellence to every position she takes on,” says Vice Principal of Athletics and Activities Alex Crane.
Kelly has a Bachelor of Science in PE/Health from Evangel University, and is in the process of completing her Master of Science in Athletic Administration from Southwest Baptist University.
Kelly will also be the Associate Athletic Director.
