Point guard Jayde Christopher, who helped lead Cleveland to the past two Class 3A state girls basketball championships, has made an oral commitment to the University of Kansas.
The 5-foot-8 Christopher averaged better than nine assists per game as a junior last season and scored around six points as well on a team that had plenty of offensive weapons.
She is the third player from the team to commit to a Division I program, following all-state seniors Makala Roper (University of California, Santa Barbara) and MyMy Ladd (San Jose State).
You can read a little more about Christopher’s commitment here.
The Eagles feature another top prospect in 6-1 center Joyce Harrell, a senior-to-be who averaged a double-double last season.
