Emerald Ridge climbs to No. 35 in national volleyball rankings

After winning the Kent Classic Volleyball Tournament last Saturday, Emerald Ridge inched up three spots to No. 35 in this week’s PrepVolleyball.com national high-school rankings.

The Jaguars were 38th the week before.

Bellarmine Prep, previously ranked No. 76, dropped out of the top-100 after losing to Emerald Ridge (2-0) in pool play at the tourney and also splitting sets with Capital and Anacortes.

The Lions are now on Washington’s “Teams to Watch” list, which also includes Auburn Riverside, Battle Ground, Burlington-Edison, Camas, Central Valley, Southridge, Tumwater and University.
