SPSL 3A playoff scenarios

The SPSL 3A is set at the top, with Peninsula as the No. 1 seed and Auburn Mountainview as the No. 2 seed. That’s where it gets interesting. The league will send two more teams to the postseason.

If:

Auburn beat Lakes

and

Enumclaw beats Auburn Mountainview

 

Then

 

Auburn will be 5-2 and the #3 seed

Enumclaw will be 4-3 and the #4 seed

 

If:

Auburn beats Lakes

and

Auburn Mountainview beats Enumclaw

and

Sumner beats Auburn Riverside

 

Then

 

Auburn will be 5-2 and the #3 seed

Enumclaw will be 3-4

Lakes will be 3-4

Sumner will be 3-4

 

We will have a three way tie for the #4 seed and will need to play this off as two teams will be eliminated.

 

If:

Lakes beats Auburn

and

Enumclaw beats Auburn Mountainview

 

Then

 

Lakes will be 4-3

Auburn will be 4-3

Enumclaw will be 4-3

 

We will have a three way tie for the #3 and #4 seeds and will need to play this off as one team will be eliminated.

 

If:

Lakes beats Auburn

and

Auburn Mountianview beats Enumclaw

 

Then

 

Lakes will be 4-3 and the #3 seed

Auburn will be 4-3 and the #4 seed

Enumclaw will be 3-4 will be SPSL #5

 

In the event of a playoff we will hold this at Franklin Pierce Stadium on Tuesday, November 4 at 6:30PM.  We will use the number draw to determine the bye team per the handbook on page 41 with the lowest number getting the bye.  The numbers were drawn at the October SPSL meeting and are as follows;

Auburn – 3

Lakes – 4

Sumner – 5

Enumclaw – 6
