WIAA Fall academic team state champions

Below are the WIAA Fall team state champions. Congrats to all who won, it’s not easy to balance sports with school work.

I happened to be at Skyline last night right after the football team found out it had won its first academic state title. Below is a video of Skyline captain Chandler Wong talking about the title.

“I was so excited today when I found out because you stress academics, and you talk to the¬†kids about grade checks and all that stuff, but to see the GPA calculated — and it was like a 3.54 for our football kids, that’s about 75-80 kids — then to take into account that’s the top GPA every 4A school, I was so excited,” Skyline coach Mat Taylor said.
