Results from the Class 4A, District 2 Sea-King girls’ swim championships

Newport High School won the event and Skyline came in second. Newport’s Elisa Fang won two events: the 50-yard freestyle (23.59) and the 100-yard freestyle (51.88), breaking the meet record in the 50-freestyle. Skyline’s Kathy Lin also claimed two first-place titles: the 100-yard butterfly (56.63) and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.08). Eastlake’s Christina Torrente broke the meet record in points in the 1-meter diving event. She totaled 499.35 points.
