Tahoma leads the All-SPSL boys wrestling tournament after the first day of competition. The Bears have 164 points and Auburn is in second place with 121 points. Kentridge is third with 105.5 points.
Six Tahoma wrestlers are in the semifinals on Saturday, including Justin Hoyle (106), Dylan Whitehead (120), Justin Sipilia (126), Ryden Fu (138), Adam Hokenson (195) and Nick Palandri (220).
For Auburn, Drew Aplin (120), Sjon Snitily (138), Sam Lindsey (182), Kyle Guthrie (195), Mario Luevano (220) and Jacob Apodaca (285) are in the semis.
Derek Freitag (113) and JT Meier (285) will wrestle for a spot in the finals for Kentridge.
The tournament continues Saturday at Auburn High School with semifinals and finals. Action starts at 9 a.m., with finals starting at about 2 p.m. if things run smoothly.
