Liberty junior Noble Cooper set the school record with 36 points in a 69-45 win over Bremerton on Saturday in the District 2/3 2A tournament. Cooper, who scored 31 points in a loss to Renton on Thursday, breaks the mark of 33 points set by Rob Marlow.
“Noble has embraced our development program and greatly improved in a short time,” Liberty coach Omar Parker said via email. “I am equally proud of his commitment to becoming a great teammate and his Liberty teammates are largely responsible for his individual accolades.”
The win was the first for Liberty at the district level in seven years.
