Jackson boys capture District 1 title

Despite losing 10 senior, the Jackson boys basketball team captured its sixth straight Wesco 4A title this season, and then won the District 1 championship last night with a 64-32 win over Monroe.

Sam Saufferer had a team-high 21 points, as Jackson was able to pull its starters midway through the fourth quarter.

Monroe plays Cascade on Saturday for the second berth to the regional round, while the loser sees its season come to an end.
