SPSL suspends AR boys hoop coach for entire season

Jason Brown will not coach the Auburn Riverside boys basketball team for the remainder of the 2013-14 season.

The SPSL athletic directors voted Thursday to suspend Brown for the entire season for violations of the WIAA rules regarding the minimum practices required for players to participate in a contest and the limitations on the amount of time a player can play in a jamboree.

Brown, in his second season, had just completed a four-game suspension for violation of the WIAA out-of-season contact rules and would have been back on the bench for tonight’s game against fourth-ranked Kentridge.
