What we know — SPSL (4A/3A/2A) and Seamount (3A/2A) playoffs

It never ceases to amaze me how many different playoff scenarios we wind up with in the SPSL after eight regular-season football games – especially in 4A and 2A, which is especially messy again.

Bonney Lake helped clear up the possibilities in the SPSL 3A with that victory over Lakes last week – the Panthers’ first-ever win over the Lancers, who previously had lost only one league game since joining the SPSL in 2008 (that to Peninsula last year). So we know who is in (Peninsula, Bonney Lake and Lakes), but the seeding is still in question.

Only the Seamount League is keeping it simple at this point. Kennedy has the lone 3A berth, while Lindbergh will be the No. 1 2A seed with Renton No. 2.

Before I breakdown the SPSL, a reminder where you can find the week-10 playoff brackets (and pairings for the official first-round of the state playoffs the following week): For 4A go here. For 3A go here.

There are so many possibilities in the SPSL 4A, I’m going to embed the information supplied by Dave Lutes, the Kent School District athletic director who is the football commissioner.
