First 4A state volleyball qualifiers are in — including Mount Vernon!

Four teams clinched berths to the 4A state volleyball tournament yesterday (Tuesday), including upstart Mount Vernon. The Bulldogs went into the Northwest District tourney seeded fifth, but they knocked off top-seeded Edmonds-Woodway in the semifinals, 3-0, to advance to Thursday’s championship match against Snohomish.
