All-Star Game thread

The internet situation here is an absolute nightmare. I’ve spent the last 90 minutes trying to get a connection, largely unsuccessfully. I’m going to hopefully get this posted before I lose it again.

The world didn’t get to see the best of Tim Lincecum, but he wasn’t helped by Albert Pujols’s error in the first, leading to an unearned run. Lincecum settled down for a 1-2-3 second. The AL returned the favor in the second, with Josh Hamilton’s throwing error leading to an unearned run. The NL, which hasn’t won since 1996, leads 3-2.

A lot of pomp and circumstance before the game. MLB pulled out all the stops with President Obama, Stan Musial, et al. It was a pretty impressive show.

I doubt if I’ll have a chance to get back here much, if at all, considering the internet troubles and my deadline to write my story. But if you want to discuss the game, have at it.
