Congratulations to Mike Carp, who launched his first career home run last night against the White Sox. That’s him getting an ice-cream salute from teammates while being interivewed by FSN’s Jen Mueller after the game.

In Carp’s honor, Dave Neubart sent me this awesome “All-Fishing” team. Any new contributions would be welcome.

P – “Catfish” Hunter; Dizzy Trout, Steve Trout, Dick Pole, Bobby Seay, Chummy Gray, Dock Ellis, Jay Hook, Dick Lines

C – Geronimo Gil, John Bateman

1b – Mike Carp

2b – Billy Bates, Neal Finn

3b – Fred Waterman, Hooks Warner, Bobby Scales

SS – Jeff King, Chico Salmon, Eddie Lake, Gus Gil

OF – Tim Salmon

Honorable mention: UW softball SS Ashley Charters

I’ll add Rod Carew, Brian Fisher, Kevin Bass and Sid Bream. The president of this league would be Chub Feeney. And honorable mention to Seahawks linebacker Will Herring.
