The Yankees received permission from MLB to replace Melky Cabrera, who sprained his hamstring Sunday, with Ramiro Pena. Brett Gardner takes Cabrera’s starting spot in center.

If Cliff Lee can pitch the game of his life –again — this series will go back to New York, where things could get interesting. The Yankees, some of whom keenly remember what happened with a 3-0 lead over the Red Sox in the ALCS in 2004, will be motivated to make sure they end it tonight
