Mariners minor leaguer suspended for PEDs

Robert Rodriguez, an outfielder who hit .176 in 52 games for the Mariners’ Dominican Summer League team in 2009, has been suspended for 50 games.

According to a press release from the commissioner’s office, Rodriguez was suspended

The suspension of Rodriguez will be effective at the start of next season. In 131 at-bats, Rodriguez had no homers and 22 RBIs this past season. Rodriguez, from Bani, Dominican Republic, is 19.
