Wednesday noon update

Tyrone Willingham has begun his regular training camp schedule of meeting with the media around noon time.
No real big news today. The only personnel note of real significance is that Darin Harris is not with the team right now due to a back injury and will report once school starts. Harris is a junior safety from Federal Way who has a redshirt year available to him, so maybe he will sit out this season to let the back get better.
Willingham said there was no change in the status of the four players who are out while their academic situations are pending, and no position changes.
There was a lot of talk about incoming JC transfer WR Marcel Reece and he figures to be the subject of a few stories tomorrow. Reece says the 240 pounds listed for him on the roster is probably accurate but said with good humor that he doesn’t plan on tipping a scale anytime soon.
Willingham said the weight won’t be an issue as long as Reece shows he can still play. But Reece admits he’d like to get down to about 225 by the time the season starts.
