Wednesday musings

Not a lot going on at Washington in the way of personnel matters today.
This is the second-to-last two-a-day of the year for UW — the final one comes Friday — but the Huskies appeared to make it through both practices today in good health as Tyrone Willingham said there were no new injuries.
TE Johnie Kirton appeared to have his arm in a splint but Willingham said it was not a serious injury.
The only players sitting out were players previously injured — DE Greyson Gunheim, OG William Kava and WR Cody Ellis among them.
The gold-jersey winner for both the morning and afternoon sessions appeared was WR Corey Williams. That’s a good sign as Williams could be a real key to this season. He has as much game-breaking potential as any WR on the roster but has battled injuries the last two years. But he looks healthy now. Proof came in Saturday’s scrimmage when he made a key third-and-long catch.
Also, there have been a few number changes, done largely to make sure players with the same number aren’t on the field together. Shelton Sampson is back to his old No. 7 while true freshman CB Matt Mosley is now No. 19 and safety Jason Wells is now No. 26.
