White-Frisbee likley out

I didn’t go to practice today, preparing for a really early flight to Oklahoma tomorrow.
But Michael Ko of our staff did and reports that Tyrone Willingham said that DT Jordan White-Frisbee is “doubtful” to play Saturday against the Soonerse.
White-Frisbee is attempting to come back from a foot injury — actually, two separate broken bones — that held him out all of last season. He didn’t play last Saturday but that was said to be more because UW barely ran any of its base defense against San Jose State.
But Willingham said today that “it’s been a tough camp” for White-Frisbee and that he has been having flareups with the foot.
He said more tests will be conducted next week to see if there are any serious problems with the foot.
That sounds somewhat ominous as it was hoped that the 310-pound White-Frisbee had moved past having to worry about the foot and instead needed only to regain his playing shape to get back on the field.
If healthy, White-Frisbee figured to play Saturday as he was one of the team’s better run defenders as a true freshman in 2004.
The news continues to sound better about CB Dashon Goldson. Willingham said he’s “still day to day” but that he aniticipates Goldson will play.
Willingham also spoke of the humidity the Huskies may face in Norman and how there is no way to replicate that in Seattle. On the plus side, the temperatures have dropped quite a bit there in the past week or so and the forecast calls for the mid-80s for Saturday.
