The Day After

I’m actually off to the Seahawks game — it’s fun to be a fan, too — so I’ll have an abbreviated post here for now.
First, here’s the view from Fresno centering on Pat Hill saying that his team was just “weren’t into it.” Maybe Hill is being genuine or maybe he’s trying to fire up his team, which has now lost six of seven dating to last seven.
Here’s my main story from today focusing on Caesar Rayford’s blocked PAT, and you can follow the links there to all of the rest of our coverage.
Someone asked about defensive stats. Here’s a link to them here on gohuskies.com.
Someone else asked whether Jason Wells’ hit was legal. Obviously it was since no penalty was called as that was one set of officials known to call everything. The crew was headed up by Jay Stricherz, the same crew that was noted for calling so many penalties in games a year ago — specifically Fresno State’s controversial loss at Oregon.
Yesterday’s game was very clean, however, with just seven penalties.
Someone else asked about Ashlee Palmer. There’s nothing official from the school yet. But I’d be shocked now if he could make it back and play this season. I’m assuming he’s done for this year with the question now being whether he can get in or will try to go somewhere else. If he doesn’t make it in, he’s no longer bound to his letter-of-intent.
I’ll have more later after we see if the Seahawks can continue the winning ways.
