Weird USC story

Here’s kind of a strange story out of the USC camp today from Scott Wolf of the Los Angeles Daily News.
As Wolf details, two backup running backs apparently got into a little scuffle during a meeting on Wednesday. Neither is a key player — as he points out, Griffin is a walk-on and Buehler is a third-team fullback. This may be much ado about nothing — I’ve learned to never read too much into the actions of one or two people on an 85-man football team.
Still, an interesting story.
I should also plug Wolf’s blog here as a great source of up-to-the-minute USC news.
Just as interesting is the injury update that Wolf provides. As I wrote in my story here today, UW coaches expect Dwayne Jarrett to play Saturday and there were UW backups wearing his number for their work on the scout team in Wednesday’s practice.
Also today I detailed Scott White’s road to redemption. What I found most interesting is how important the change in position has been for him. It may seem like a subtle change moving from one LB spot to another, but for White, it’s been a real big deal.
