Depth chart updated

The depth chart for this week’s game is out, and among the names included is Jake Locker as the No. 3 QB for this week behind Carl Bonnell and Johnny DuRocher.
Not sure what that means, if it’s just an obligatory mention or what. It might mean nothing as Ryan Tolar has been listed as a backup at guard all season — and is again this week — and he is obviously redshirting.
We’ll ask about the QB situation again at Tyrone Willingham’s news conference today.
Also, Louis Rankin and Kenny James are listed as co-starters at running back and Mesphin Forrester is listed as the starter at free safety with Jason Wells having suffered a knee injury against Arizona State. The Forrester thing is interesting because it was Chris Hemphill who took Wells’ place once he went out Saturday. Hemphill is listed as the backup this week.
Also, Trenton Tuiasosopo is listed as the backup at MLB to Tahj Bomar with Donald Butler ailing with a calf injury, though Willingham said Butler should be able to play this week.
And for those who have been asking about Marcel Reece, he is listed No. 4 on the depth chart at one receiver spot this week behind Sonny Shackelford, Cody Ellis and Marlon Wood. He was listed as the backup last week. Officially, he played in the game Saturday, but he can’t have been out there for more than a play or two.
