Here’s the story I wrote today on Johnny DuRocher.
One anecdote that didn’t make it in the story — DuRocher talked about how one of the potential complications if anything went wrong was memory loss and that his grandmother was particularly nervous about the whole thing. So when he got of surgery, he saw her and asked “who are you?”
“I thought it was funny,” DuRocher said. “She didn’t think it was funny.”
As the story details, he wants to play football again if it’s possible, though it still sounds like a long shot.
— Also, here’s the latest on the Idaho coaching search courtesy of Jim Meehan at the Spokesman-Review. Doesn’t sound as if it’s going to touch UW in any manner which is what I’ve heard from UW people, as well.
