Mora comments cause flap

Got some momentary power where I am thanks to a neighbor’s generator and trying to catch up on some things.
So here’s a link to the ESPN.com story on Jim Mora Jr., and his comments to KJR-AM on Thursday about the UW job which are apparently causing quite a controversy in Atlanta.
The story quotes a UW statement that the job is simply not open, which it obviously isn’t.
Here’s another version of the Mora story.
The ESPN story also refers to meetings between Mora and UW intermediaries when Tyrone Willingham got the job two years ago. His interest in the job was reported at the time in The Seattle Times as well. Here’s a link to that story.
Not sure any of this has much to do with UW. But it does figure to make that Atlanta-Dallas game Saturday a lot more interesting.
I’ve changed this since first writing it to provide a better link to the interview. Here it is at Softycentral.com
