More on recruiting

Meant to post this earlier, but here is my story today updating Washington’s recruiting situation. For the hardcore fans, which I know is most of you who read this, there’s no new news, but I was trying to provide an overview of the class suitable for the more casual follower, as well.
Greg Biggins, who is quoted in the story and is the director of recruiting for Student Sports, had some interesting observations on some of UW’s other recruits that didn’t make it in the story.
Most notably, Biggins called linebacker Mason Foster of Seaside, Calif., “maybe the biggest sleeper in the region. He’s a high level kid and I don’t know why he wasn’t getting more attention. He’s very good.”
Biggins also said that defensive tackle Nick Wood of Poway “is also very good” and said that Wood did the most reps bench pressing of any player at the 12 Nike Camps last spring and summer. Biggins said Wood lifted 50 repetitions of 185 pounds.
“There are a lot of kids in this class that they really had a chance to evaluate,” Biggins said. “There’s maybe not a lot of kids who got national attention, but there are a lot of really good evaluation kids.”
