First quarter over

We’re through one quarter here and the Purple predictably leads 7-0 and is driving for another score.
The Gold offense, however, was moving with Ronnie Fouch throwing a few nice passes before Fouch fumbled to end the drive.
Carl Bonnell took over as QB of the Purple for the second drive and threw a 22-yard pass to Anthony Russo to get into opposing territory.
Louis Rankin just picked up two yards on a fourth-and-one play to keep the drive alive.
