Howell update, more

A few quick post-Spring Game notes:
Tyrone Willingham said Dan Howell did not play after “suffering an illness.” He did not elaborate but said more details may be available later in the week.
— There did not appear to be any other significant injuries, certainly nothing that would hold anyone out next season. WR Charles Hawkins (shoulder) and DL Derek Kosub (finger) were the only others listed.
— Here are a few final stats:
The Purple (the starters) won 44-7 against the Gold (the backups).
Jake Locker was 4-8 passing for 38 yards with one touchdown, one interception.
Carl Bonnell was 8-15 for 127 yards and three TDs.
Ronnie Fouch was 8-16 for 81 yards and an interception.
Marcel Reece caught three passes for 44 yards and three TDs.
Corey Williams caught three passes for 73 yards.
Anthony Russo caught three passes for 65 y ards.
Jared Ballman had six punts for a 26.5 yard average though all but one came against a fairly stiff wind.
Louis Rankin rushed 16 times for 99 yards including a 42-yard TD.
J.R. Hasty was 10-35 but ran against the No. 1 defense behind the No. 2 O-line all day and coaches seemed pleased with his play.
Linebacker Donald Butler and walk-on safety Jay Angotti led all tacklers with eight each.
The Huskies as a team had 49 rushes for 209 yards.
